whether you only care about the football, the ads, or the beer, there’s always one thing that everyone can agree on: chicken wings.

while your neighbors might be ordering from the local bar or using frozen, bagged wings, the way to go is homemade & healthy(er).

it’s cheaper. yummier. stickier. easier.


saucy, baked chicken wings

serves 5


  • 2 lbs chicken wings, (tips removed if necessary)
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • S&P
  • 1 1/2 c. your favorite BBQ sauce or any other sauce of your choice


preheat the oven to 400F.

rise the chicken & pat dry. arrange in a baking dish so that each piece has a little room. sprinkle with olive oil, salt & pepper, and whatever spices you like (season salt, garlic salt, etc). slice the butter in very thin slivers and place on top of chicken – one per piece.

bake for 30 minutes.

remove from oven and lightly paint on some of the sauce. place the chicken back in the oven for 15 minutes.

remove from the oven. turn the chicken over and lightly paint on some of the sauce on the side facing up. place chicken back in the over for an additional 10 minutes.

remove from the oven and serve with the sauce!
