looking for a classic steak dinner but tired of the lack of variety? trying different cuts and marinades is always a good trick.
this marinade is a great option. these asian flavors are not over-powering, but add an interesting sweetness to the steak.
flank steak is great because it feeds a lot of people, is not too expensive and is fairly lean.
this recipe is perfect for upcoming summer BBQs, so let’s get grillin’!
asian-inspired flank steak marinade
- 1 lb. flank steak
- 1 c. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
place all ingredients into a gallon resealable plastic bag and mix up well. place the flank steak into the bag & seal. try to remove as much air as possible. refrigerate for at least one hour.
remove steak and discard remaining marinade. cook on grill or the stove for 1 – 2 minutes on each side for medium rare.
let the steak rest for a few minutes. cut in 1/2 inch thick slices. cut the steak on the bias for more tender pieces.
serve with salad and a baked potato!
